Are you kidding? If there is a more hated cell carrier than Sprint, it would be AT&T. Sprint’s 3tg coverage makes AT&T look like 1995. Cost? Are you kidding. AT&T sure isn’t gonna honor your $10/month data plan from SPrint. You’ll be paying a $30/iphone tax on each one and have 0 option to teather and need to spend $99 for non-backround operating navigation.

Basically for unlimited everything AT&T will cost you $130 and Sprint $99 so explain how you will save money?

  2. MunkeySpaz says:

Verizon always limits you more then what Sprint does… Look what they did for the Fuze/Pro… lol its a joke.
As far as these “simply everything” plans… its bullshit. I have “unlimited data” and all that jazz, but they are telling me that it is not compatible. Data is data… what kinda bullshit.

  3. jaymeez says:

Um, are u really that dumb or did u leave ur comment just to get a response. It is “Official” that Verizon Wireless will get the Pre in 6-8 months. There is no exclusivity period for Sprint, Verizon has higher specs for phone which means it takes longer for them to get it but that phone will be more solid; longer battery life, more color choices, larger memory, & hopefully will not crash like the 1’s that were released for sprint. I agree 100% with AvoidSprint

  4. DyNaStYxJoSh says:

lmfao to everyone who thinks the pre is going to verizon, fucking idiots

  5. AvoidSprint says:

Okay, anyone that thinks it’s a good idea to stay with Sprint or to try them out for the Palm Pre PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY FAVORITE VIDEOS…. Don’t use them for your own sanity. Verizon Wireless will have the Palm Pre in 6 months & it will have all the upgrades, possible sd slot more internal memory longer battery life more color options & a cheaper price to give competition to Iphone 3G which is now only $99.99. AVOIDSPRINT!!!!!

  6. jaymeez says:

Ok so I went to Sprint store & they informed me I can’t keep my older (grandfathered plan) even though there is unlimited data. So we all know what that means, right?!? I’m leaving Sprint and all 6 lines I have & I personally will make it a point to tell everyone I know & meet not to deal with or leave sprint. I will be getting the new Iphone 3G S Goodbye Sprint, only regret I have now is not leaving this piss poor company a long time ago.

  7. jaymeez says:

FYI, everyone (including Sprint) Verizon Wireless (A much better company with customer service & coverage) will be having the Palm Pre in 6 months. It will probably have different colors & upgrades such as longer battery life which is already a known issue with current Sprint Pre. I’m going to Sprint store today for Pre release and if they don’t allow me to keep my plan (which has unlim data already) then I’m canceling & so should all of you. We are the customers & our happiness matters.

  8. jaymeez says:

They made this video for the public just like all the others they have, but this 1 isn’t clear so of-course they should clarify for the public, their customers, & me. Is that broken down into small enough pieces for you to swallow now or do you need a spoon full of sugar with that? You might not care because it doesn’t pertain to you & that’s fine so do it movin and watch another dumb nissan video clip “NERD”!

  9. twtaz14 says:

    Right on!

  10. Jeff7181 says:

Are you kidding me? You expect an International company to make a video specifically for you? You’re unhappy because they didn’t? Get over yourself.

  11. jaymeez says:

True, I’d leave in a heartbeat. Tomorrow is the release date for the Pre & we should make sure they have a record number of cancellations if they try hanging on to the B.S. notion that you have to be tied to a call plan when you select certain phones. I have unlimited data already and my current plan fits me well; I am not switching for the Pre I’d rather cancel. Sprint never responded to my request for them to post video clarifying this so they dropped the ball again.

  12. tweeeker says:

I sure hope so too because if that’s the case, I’m leaving Sprint as soon as the Iphone 4G comes out and I wouldn’t care if I have to pay more for AT&T!

  13. TwilightObsessedTeen says:

how much is the upgrade for this phone?

  14. jaymeez says:

Data is Data, I work in the industry & have always had PDA’s with always on data. That isn’t it and I would have to ask where you even came up with that? No Sprint video here ever stated it uses more data than let’s say a HTC Mogul with always on data. They are simply herding customers like cattle to new plans to boost revenue and simplify billing. So, I respectfully disagree with your statement Rino….

  15. bigfelon says:

    still cheaper than att lol.

  16. rinodeluxe713 says:

This is for everbody saying they have to upgrade to new data plan form an old data plan, when getting the palm. When u get the Palm Pre you will be using maybe 10 times as much data as you would be with your old data plan and phone. It would make sense for Sprint to chagre you more for the new data plan. Ever think of that.

  17. jaymeez says:

I’m hoping they clarify this because if this is a fact then they are doing their long time customers a disservice. We should all ban them if they do this. They are stressing you need an unlimited data plan with this phone & I already have it so I see no need to change my current call plan which I am very happy with. What phone you select should never dictate what call plan you should be on. Did you get that Sprint?

  18. tweeeker says:

I’m on an old plan which includes 250 mins for $29.99 and I have added an unlimited data plan and txt messaging for an additional $12.50…so I pay about $40/month and the number of minutes work for me. Are they saying that if I upgrade to the Pre, I’ll have to upgrade my plan which will include more minutes than I need and pay almost double? That’s ridiculous!

  19. spdyrel says:

I’m sure people will be able to keep hold of their plans as long as it has unlimited data. The best thing I would think to do is instead of ordering online, call and talk to a high representative if the original customer service won’t allow this to happen. If they 100% won’t let you keep your plans, then that is total BS and I would (and many, many customers) would leave Sprint, but they probably already thought of that. They are probably talking about new Sprint customers in the video anyway.

  20. computermexican says:

Who cares if you need the everything plan. The phone looks sweet. I have the Instinct right now and I have the $99.99 everything plan. It is so much easier than having to worry if I am going to get charged for anything bla, bla, bla, the plan is worth every penny and if you have it you don’t need to worry about anything with this phone. The I phone is already being outdated with phones like this one and the newer blackberry curves.

  21. mikymig says:

If a customer doesn’t already have an unlimited data package on their plan then I would agree that you must upgrade to a plan that does and currently the SE plans are the only ones that provide that.

However, if you’ve already got that in your current plan, then why in the world change your plan when all is done, the only difference would be a name change on your contract? I don’t think you are understanding the gripe here mr. Please take a deep breath and read what everyone is projecting.

  22. jaymeez says:

You guys should address this issue in a Q&A vid so we have definitive answer b4 Pre release. Will people with data plans be forced to go to SE plan? It would help if you forwarded that video to everyone in the company since 3 customer care agents gave me different info. 1 said yes you need to go to one of the S.E. plans, another said my account would be fine since I have unlim data, and the last 1 didn’t know & xfered my call to telesales without asking permission to hold or xfer?

  23. jaymeez says:

I agree 100% A device should have nothing to do with the call plan. This is clear cut case of company & stock holders first, and the paying customers last. I will do my best to have everyone I know and everyone I meet leave Sprint if this is the case. There is nothing wrong with saying you need a data plan, but forcing everyone that already has a data plan to a whole new call plan to get more $ out of us is just rude. Sprint you are now on notice. Please do the right thing…

  24. shakiberm says:

well i have everything message plan plus i also pay extra for unlimited data, but don’t have the plan they want per say… so i don’t think it should be a problem, they just want you to have unlimited data…

but I’m with you, if they are going to make me change my plan, i prefer to change company… is sad cuz ive been with Sprint almost 10 years…

they finally get a new good phone and they will force to change your plan??? i don’t think so!

  25. jaymeez says:

Okay obviously you must be a idiot that works for them. It’s not the “exact” same plan. I have a grandfathered plan with unlimited everything so forcing me to new pricing & saying it’s bcuz of needing unlim data is stupid bcuz I already have unlim data. The newer plan would cost me more money monthly (and that is it besides loosing 50 mins monthly). Do you understand what I’m trying to get across now?
