Radio shack just introduced a deal for $150 for the phone with a 2 year contract.
This Phone is the hottest phone on the market Besides the iPhone
an official update will be coming tha will allow you to record and send vids so yea
i know they should either get a motorola razr, lg xenon or, iphone 3g or 3gs
i hate when people complain about not being able to have a video camera on the phone look at the iphone u have a jail broken iphone 3g u can record video with an app itll come soon i think theres and app out for the pre that someone made to record and it looks amazing
mannn,i really want this phone
u should make me a deal for this phone
At first, I was disappointed at the fact that the Palm Pre wouldn’t have video taking capabilities…then I realized, that’s what I have a $500 camera for. >.>
All you people complaining the camera isn’t good enough, deal with it. It is meant to be a phone, not a professional camera. If you are not happy with its simple camera(I am)then either don’t buy the phone, or go get a REAL camera, instead of commenting negatively on this amazing phone!
phone exelente! but I don’t understand how they don’t settle for making video, it’s crazy! a phone with everything but no video capture. me cago de la puta risa jajajajaja
Orange Sym and P all together at the same time
Most likely it will be free. BlackBerry had the same issue with their older Curves and Pearls. They released an update that allowed the cameras on those phones to record video. Palm will most likely do the same. This phone will get better as time goes on.
That’s a really good question.
I think it would depend on who programs the app. I do believe if Palm takes the route of Firefox and goes open-source, there will be many free apps and the popularity of the Pre will outpace demand.
I’m not a representative, so I can only hope with you.
Will it be free, or will we have to pay for it?
Correction… the Pre is capable of recording video with its existing hardware, but an app has yet to be programmed to take advantage of this ability.
New app are happening daily, just a matter of time.
The Pre does not record video, but it does play videos like here on YouTube.
“It will play MPEG-4, H.263, and H.264 (and perhaps some others).”
Can you name your photos? Organize them by name? etc
does this take videos
You need a zoom on a camera phone ? alright , go to the dollars store and buy a magnifying glass and put it in front of your camera , voila !
What buttons did you press for the screenshot?
