Please see the blog post also but I highly recommend not using Vista in the first place, just my 2 cents on Vista. OR just use the WiFi version.
Hmmm, try reading comments over at the blog as we have solved this before.
I used to have a 8830, of course, the WiFi version is much more fun as you can connect multiple computers.

Ok so I have been going at putting My Tether on my palm pre. I have downloaded the java 6 and Virtual Box. I downloaded the novacom1 or whatever and extracted it. I put it in the same folder as the java and virtual box. I go to Program Files (x86)PalmSDKbin> on the command prompt. After I do the novacom -t tty:// it saus Unable to Find Device (my Palm Pre is plugged in and everything…. What should I do?

Follow my directions in the blog, (link on the right). It’s pretty easy if you follow the directions. Once you set it up, it’s a piece of cake as My Tether is a GUI app and it also acts as a WiFi router too, see my last video on that, I’ve connected like 5 computers to the Palm Pre via WiFi no problem with great download speeds.
