Make sure your Pre is in developer mode. It HAS TO be in devmode for it to connect.

ok so i download novacom and file coaster and java and everything else so i connect my palm and press i”install” and says no device and reboot my computer and palm pre..what do i do plz help
After I install i cant get the WebOSQuickinstall program to come up, all i get is the “Drop File Here To Install Pre App” icon on my desktop. And that can’t help me, all i really want is the on screen keyboard

Ok that happened to me just reboot you computer and put your palm pre in usb mode and go to my computer and see if you can see palm pre as a drive if you dont restart you computer again if it works go to file coaster again an try to install it again it should work
